ORWO workshops are held in the south east of England; our
preferred venue is the Wesley Memorial Church in Oxford.
Not only is it the band's spiritual home (OUWO concerts
were held there 1996-1999) but we would also like to
encourage current OUWO members to take part and remain in
touch after they have left Oxford.
Getting
there
Wesley Memorial is located in New Inn Hall Street, in
Central Oxford. Here's the location on Multimap, and Streetmap.
Oxford is well-connected by road (via the A34, M40, etc.),
but parking is difficult and expensive.
If driving, Park and Ride is a good option, and
can be done from several different points around the
edge of the city.
Public transport to Oxford is generally good, and
especially from London. The Oxford Tube provides a frequent bus
service between London and Oxford. The railway is generally faster, but
probably more expensive.
Both the railway station and the bus station are within a
short walk of Wesley Memorial - the bus station is just
north of George St, while the railway station is off the
western edge of the two maps above.
